Labor Day Weekend

Well it has been awhile so I am going to just update from my last post to now.

For Labor Day weekend we went to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone with my mom, my grandma, Cody, Tessa and Taylee.

Our trip was going really well until the day we were leaving Jackson Hole to go into Yellowstone.  In the morning when we were getting ready to leave Jackson my grandma started to not feel very well so my mom decided to take her home.  So, Taylor, Lance and I rode in the car with Cody, Tess and Taylee.  It is a good thing that we didn't have anyone else because I don't think that we would have fit.  Well our trip to Yellowstone was really good though.  We saw so many buffalo and elk.
The kids seemed to have as much fun as we were.  The kids were have so much fun not seeing very many animals so the kids decided to take a nap which made the ride a little easier when we didn't see any.

While we were driving, heading to go see Old Faithful, the traffic got really bad and then we found out why ...

It was really funny because when the buffalo got this close we all started to lean to the other side of the car.  The next stop on our trip was Old Faithful.  It was really cold by the time that we reached this point.  The kids were ready to be out of the car but we all wanted to see Old Faithful.

It was kind of funny because when Old Faithful erupted the wind started to blow and Tessa, Lance and I all got really wet.

On our way out of Yellowstone we were blessed to have some snow.  It was snowing until we reached Island Park.

Look for more posts from the things we have done over the past few months.

Summer

Sorry this is a little late.  I typed this back in like late July or early August.  I just forgot to post it.

Well as summer is getting ready to come to a close we have been very lucky to enjoy having Taylor's little sister live with us a few days a week so she can work and while she has been waiting to move back to Pocatello to start school.  It has been great for us to have her around.  We really enjoy her and the help that she has been for us.

We were able to spend time with Taylor's parents and little brother last Saturday and it was great for us since we don't really get to see them since our schedule is so hectic.  Skyler is so proud of his nephews.  Taylor and I went wake boarding with Raegan and her boyfriend JT and his parents.  It was fun.  Taylor got up but never gained control but it was a good effort, I think it was because his arms were so tired from shooting with JT earlier.  I was able to get up but I couldn't stay up for too long because the boots on the board were a little big for me so my feet were sliding around.

Summertime

Well, it is suppose to be summer but it doesn't seem like it here in good old Pocatello.  Instead it feels like spring has finally got here.  It looks like we are going to be having a short summer again this year.  I hate it.  Lance seems to enjoy being outside but he hasn't got to spend much time outside since all it seems to do is rain.

Well, this weekend was actually a pretty busy one at least for me.  I of course really enjoyed it because I was doing the thing I love to do in the spring and summer and if I could all year round.  I was able to play in a softball tournament this weekend.  We didn't do the best but man I sure loved it.  I love to be able to catch pop flies and bat even though I am not the best batter but I love to run the bases and try to make it possible to score the runs and confuse the fielders on where to throw the ball.

Well to update you on what is going on in our lives...

Taylor is busy doing some work for part of the summer in his program getting everything set up for next semester.  He is really loving it.  I love to hear how happy he is about what he is learning and the knowledge he is gaining from doing the work. It has him so excited to be doing it for a job hopefully next year when he is finished with school.  There are a few places that he is wanting to work.  He has his sights set on INEL and JT3 down in Vegas which we will be happy with either.  I guess we just have to wait and see where life leads us.

Well,Taylor's little sister graduated on May 28, 2010 and it was fun to get to spend time down in Soda Springs with Taylor's family.  They have always meant so much to me.  Raegan has grown into such a beautiful woman and is very important to me.  Well for Raegan's graduation present from her parents she got to go to Boston (Go Red Sox) which she seemed really happy for.  While the family was all gone well, Mitch, Tricia and Raegan, Taylor and I had the adventure of watching Skyler on Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Memorial weekend.  He is such a handful and ball of energy.  We went to Bear Lake for that weekend since we were just going to leave Skyler there to spend time with his grandparents.  While we were there it was warm enough that we could go down to the beach and enjoy playing on the sand.  None of us were brave enough to get in the water since it has been really cold down there.  While we were down at the beach we let Lance play in the sand.  He LOVED IT!!  Of course dad was very careful to make sure that he didn't put any sand in his mouth.

Well, right now I can't think of what else has been really exciting to post.  So have a great day.

Catch Up

Well it has been awhile since I last posted and a lot has happened.
To start off, Taylor and I had our little boy on October 26, 2009 and he is growing way to fast for us. He is rolling over and loves talking. I posted earlier that we named him Lance Burton Brown the first name because we liked it, the middle name is Tricia's maiden name and Taylor's middle name so we thought we would keep it going. His uncle Matt likes to call him Magic Lance which some of us are adjusting to him having that as a nickname since we always get asked if we named him after Lance Burton the magician. Most of the time we just call him Booboo.
We are all moved into out house even though our extra room might look like we are still trying to move in but we have gotten rid of a lot of things that we noticed that we didn't use very much which is usually good.
Taylor is getting ready to start his final year in school in the fall and deciding where he wants to go and work. He is looking at going to Las Vegas a a place called JT3 which would be a good choice since it is something that he really wants to do. It will give our families a reason to come visit us.
