More News

Well it has been awhile since I last posted anything and I can't believe that I forgot to let everyone know who follows my blog that we are having a little baby boy in October. We are going to name him Lance Burton, not after the magician. I have always loved Taylor's middle name and so we decided to keep it going. We are so excited to see him and be there to watch him grow.

Some other good news is that we are waiting to close on a house at the end of this month. We are way excited for this new adventure ahead of us. It is a small house but just about the right size for our little family. I am getting excited to paint and decorate without having to worry about the landlords and everything. Taylor says he excited to finally fix things and do things to the house to make it better for us. We will have a really big backyard so I will be able to teach Lance how to throw and catch a ball. We may even be able to have BBQ's and things with friends and family.

News

Well, most of everyone has heard by now. We are expecting a baby in October. We are very excited. Taylor has been a great support for me even though I haven't had anything really. I haven't been too sick but he is always making sure that I am eating and keeping things on my stomach which is very important. We are also getting ready have a new nephew born into this world next month. We are getting way excited for these changes on both sides of our families. We love everyone who has been there to help us. Thanks.

Our Life

Sorry our lives are kind of okay a lot busy with our schedules. Taylor is in class from 8-3 and then has to go to work usually at 4-930 and then comes home and does homework and then prepare his lesson for Sunday. For me have work 8-5 Monday through Friday for the both of us and then I have class Monday and Wednesday at 1-2:15 and class on Tuesday and Thursday nights and Relief Society Presidency meetings on Wednesday nights. So we don't have a lot of time to do many things and the time we do have we are usually trying to get caught up on other things.

About Chelsey

I am the youngest of 4 children. My sister, Nickole, is almost 8 years older than me and is married to Matt Romriell. They have 4 children Sheldon, 8, is who is the athlete and loves to talk sports with his uncle; Shelby, 7, she is our little girly girl; Alexis, 2 1/2, she is the girl with an attitude; and Lucas, 1, he is so much like his brother. My brother Dallas, about 6 years older than me is married to his high school sweetheart Bryn. They have 2 girls Shantae, 5, who is more of a tomboy but can be a girly girl too she loves to go hunting and fishing with her dad. Her little sister Addison is almost 6 months old. My brother Cody is 3 years older than me and is married to Tessa. They have a little girl Taylee, 3, who is a handful but a miracle to our family. She was born 3 months premature and weighed 1 pound 10 ounces. My mom Tammy is one of my best friends and she means so much to me. My dad Ken is someone that I look up to everyday and wonder how he deals with everything he has to deal with.

About Taylor

Taylor has 3 younger siblings. He has a brother Jordan that is 2 years younger than him and he just was married on January 3, 2009 to Felicia Henderson. His sister, Raegan, is about 6 years younger then him and she is probably the most honest person I know. His littlest brother Skyler, will be 4 on February 28, was adopted in the summer of 2007 right before Taylor came home from his mission in Peru. His family was a foster family for Skyler for about 2 years before they officially adopted him. Skyler is a trouble maker and likes to be around when anything is going on, I can't tell you how many times we have found out that Skyler has broken something or did something he wasn't suppose to (Taylor wants a kid just like him). Taylor's parents are probably some of the most important people in my life besides my family. His mother Tricia is probably one of the closest people to me, while Taylor was on his mission she became one of my best friends who I could tell things to that I was struggling with or just the experiences I have had. Taylor's father Mitch just became a judge in Soda Springs and moved the family that is still at home down there. Mitch is someone that I can watch sports with besides my brother (he gets to into it that I can't handle being in the same room) I always tease him that the New York Yankees stink and the Boston Red Sox are so much better. He gets so mad because when I am visiting Skyler is always on my side just to tease his dad.

The Story of Us

To begin, Taylor and I didn't know each other until February 2003 (our sophmore year in high school).  I played volleyball with some of his girl friends and they asked him to ask me, a girl that he didn't have a clue who I was to Sweetheart Ball.  Our friends kept trying to point him out to me but I thought that they were pointing to someone and I always mistaken which one he was.  So February 7, 2003 I got already to go to this dance with someone I really had no idea who he was.  We started hanging out as friends and then through the summer we began to date and things took off from there.  We graduated in June 2005 and we both had decisions to make.  Taylor had to decide if he wanted to go to school or sever a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I had to decide if I wanted to go to school and what I was going to study and the type of job I wanted while I went to school.  Taylor left November 16, 2005 to serve a 2 year mission in Lima, Peru East, I had made one of the hardest decisions ever and that was to be here when he returned home in 2 years.
I made it the 2 years with a few growing experiences and nothing compared to the experiences Taylor faced on his mission.  Taylor returned home from his mission on December 4, 2007, we were both nervous when we saw each other for the first time in 2 years.  Well by the end of the night on December 4 we had almost picked up to where we left off.  I had informed Taylor that I didn't want to be proposed to on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day because it seemed a little cheesy to me.  So instead on December 23 after we were heading to my house after branch prayer Taylor asked me to be his wife in his car and I said yes.
When we went to go tell my family that we were engaged, we informed them that we were planning on getting married February 29, 2008.  So during the week after Christmas with our wonderful wedding planner (my mother) we had all of our plans figured out and were just waiting for February 29, 2008 to come our way after only 2 days.
When people first heard that we were getting married February 29 they thought that it was odd and teased us about only having an anniversary only every 4 years.  We thought it was a unique way for us because we are a unique couple who were together for 5 years.  On our special day we had both of our families there and it was honestly the happiest day of our lives.  We are coming up on our first year and through a little bit of rocky spots we have reached a great mark with many more to follow.
